IPE Bikini Pro Jamie EschrichTransformation by Hitch Fit Gym Overland Park Personal Trainer Amy Gipson!A Note From Coach Hitch Fit Amy G.:Oh where to start with my little Ms. Jamie… I will never forget her initial consultation visit. Here’s a brief replay of that day: Jamie walks in and automatically I know her attitude is nothing but positive and so very sweet. Jamie begins to tell me that she would like to do a bikini competition to fulfill one of her life goals. I look Jamie up and down and I tell her, yes, you are beautiful for a bikini competition; however, it will take an insane amount of work because I am going to have to build that booty for her to be a bikini competitor. After a 2 month wait on my waitlist, I reached out to Jamie and told her that a spot is ready for her and lets get moving. She replied with I will see you tomorrow. You see, that is Jamie… you ask something of her and she is there and ready to do it.Because Jamie is so highly ectomorphic, I had to have her initial calorie intake more than most peoples (~3000 cal/day) otherwise her body literally wanted to drop weight and body fat and dip into the exact muscle tissue that I wanted her to build. After a 6 month “bulking” phase, Jamie added approximately 3 lbs of lean muscle…not too shabby for a little lady and she added some beautiful shape.Knowing her competition show date, I did then lean Jamie out to a body fat where she would compete against other bikini ladies. And at our last posing session, I told Jamie that I hope she was ready and prepared to accept some awards because she looked that darn good!May 19th came and we traveled up to Omaha, Nebraska together so that I could keep close eye on her every move for the next 24 hours. After a good night’s rest watching her favorite show (Diners, Drive-ins and Dives), show day came!! Jamie walked out on that stage that afternoon and she kills it…she posed like a pro, was completely confident and stunning. It was no surprise that Jamie took 1st place in Novice bikini, 2nd place in Overall bikini and is awarded with her IPE Pro card!!!!!As a coach, the feeling was overwhelming. I have watched this girl start with a 5 lb dumbbell weight and bust her butt to heavy weight-training. I have watched her bulk and go through the brutal lean out phase. And most of all, I have watched her stay true to herself and her beliefs through a completely insane and long 8 month process. Yes, I cried…. a lot….it was like watching your child graduate college. Honestly, this was an amazing experience and I actually need to thank Jamie for trusting me and allowing me to be a part of it.At this time, Jamie has big plans in the future and you bet I will be by her side. I mean after all she already became an elite member of the Magnum Nutraceuticals Team…Say what????Jamie, on behalf of all of us at Hitch Fit, we are so very proud of you and we are blessed to have such an amazing supporter of the transformation journey!!!!Jamie’s Hitch Fit Review & Story:
One might think that my story isn’t anything spectacular but if I have learned anything from this transformation it is that every fitness journey is unique and perfect in its own way.
The summer of 2012 was my first summer back home from college. I took a job at a local bar as a waitress to make some money for myself. It was there that I met a bar tender who I noticed looked super in shape. I later found out that she did bikini competitions. This absolutely intrigued me and I spent most of my free time researching. There was something about training to be the best version of myself possible that really stuck with me. So, I promised myself that I would accomplish this goal one day.
Well, five years pass by as I got caught up in school, getting a job and facing the realities of becoming an adult. It was one day that I looked in the mirror and didn’t feel like myself anymore. I had my routine of waking up, getting to work, staring at a computer, going home and trying to convince myself to get to the gym. I didn’t know this girl anymore. I somehow got lost in this dull routine of life and I was tired of it. Instead of turning to partying and going out all the time I was instead reminded of this goal that I had buried away. After digging around online I somehow ran across miss Amy Gipson’s bio on HitchFit. I like to think my guardian angel was looking out for me that day because it was right then that something clicked for me.
Finally, I met with Amy and it was so empowering to share my goals with her. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders because I knew that I was on my way to making this dream of mine a reality.
First day of training comes and I think I got this in the bag. I’m motivated, I’m feeling good and then I pick up a five-pound weight and things got real really fast. I couldn’t believe how hard weight lifting was and was going to be for me. However, I loved that it challenged me, I loved how it distracted me, and I absolutely loved going in to see Amy during the week. Her positivity and support is what helped me power through and is what continues to keep me strong.
Almost 6 months go by of intense weight lifting and eating a high calorie diet. My body was going through some amazing changes and I started noticing muscles I didn’t even know I had. I was truly becoming stronger from the inside out and there was no better feeling than that. I had also picked a show to compete in during that time frame and wow that just added on to the motivation even more. I was on a mission and there was nothing or no one that was going to stop me.
Then came the lean out phase and boy was it tough. I was tired, had crazy food cravings, and I started to notice that this goal of mine was now starting to consume my life. I had little to no social life and I didn’t have as much energy or time as I would have liked for my loved ones. I also realized quickly that not many people understand this lifestyle and not many will even try to understand it. Thankfully, I had a very supportive family, boyfriend and trainer who encouraged me every day to stay focused and work harder. While this was all so hard for me at times, I realized that these were hurdles that God had placed in my life for a reason. Because of these hurdles I learned that I was strong enough, good enough and worthy enough of achieving this goal – and that alone is all I could have ever asked for.
Finally show day came. I had trained for eight months for that very day and I didn’t want it to end. I truly went into this competition with just the genuine desire of getting on that stage and saying I DID IT. Well, things took a quick turn as I was suddenly standing with a trophy in hand taking second place overall in the show, which also granted me my IPE Pro Card. So here I am now, typing this out still feeling overwhelmed with joy. I didn’t expect this amount of success so quickly but I couldn’t be more honored and excited to take on the challenge. HitchFit has not only given me the body I have always dreamed of having but it has also given me hope for a brighter and healthier future. I am now on my way to train for my big IPE Pro Debut and just being able to say those words makes me so proud. My journey with my HitchFit continues and will forever be one of the best decisions I have made in life.
